@theSpyd4h if youve ever sparred people, you would know that when you cant actually maim or cripple people you dont get a full test of your abilities. you cant do stuff that you may be good at and it takes away from your effectiveness some. if i have somebody trying to punch me, but i know i cant kick his knees cuz he might get hurt it really takes away from me. of course a good fighter could find alternatives but still the point stands. ufc is something big, but its not everything people chalk
@BetterBeadShots aw yeah and lastly, if youre in a fight in real life. most likely you dont have honorable one on one matches that can last as long as you need them to. in real life, you have seconds maybe minutes to get the job done. ground fighting is good to know in case you end up on the ground. but in real life you dont wanna end up on the ground rolling around with someone who could have some weapon on them. in real life, you have to do what works the quickest.
@BetterBeadShots a fight dont get used. If someone is really good at martial arts for non sport purposes, then why couldnt they be good professional fighters then…now, about jet li. i like his movies and all but im doubtful anout how much of a fighter he could actually be. he says on his website that he doesnt like the violent aspects of martial arts and that he does not spar. regardless of howl ong he has been practicing, if you dont spar i dont believe you can really be a good fighter
@BetterBeadShots fighting in the ufc surely takes a lot of skill, talent, w/e else, and of course you could fight like that in real life too if something ever happened to you. but ufc fighting is watered down martial arts still. they fight for sport. one thing i know as a consensus among many martial arts is that they were, at least originally, meant to maim, cripple and kill. of course they cant do that on tv, so a lot of techniques, which do actually work well and are not hard to execute in
@110113bobby1
not true, martial arts originated in greece then when Alexander was doing his conquests he brought it to India, from India was brought by Bodhidharma to the Shaolin temple.
@Upritebass haha lol yeah my kicks are not very good at the moment my kicks arent accurate good and i need to learn more techniques to be able to hold my leg above my head any suggestions ??? i am only 14 i am slowly getting there lol
never mess with shaolin! all the martial arts in the world are trannsformed from shaolin kung fu, so wat u call taekondo, is just crapped up shaolin(make it really crapped up)
a pesar de que es un video viejo me prace muy bueno en especial porque se ve una verdadera pelea de shaolin ya que el objetivo de l shaolin no es ser competitivo sino que es un estilo de vida
