Sure, the Beatles sold a gazillion more albums and the Stones are still rolling (in money). But record sales, chart toppings or selling out stadiums has nothing to do with musicianship. Talent was one thing which the kinks never lacked…Ray Davies had a piercing wit and a phenomenal ear to boot, a rare find.

Ray Davies has just been on BrekkieTelly herei n the U.K. They did ask whther him and Dave were still arguing and Ray diplomatically said “That they would have to ask Dave that question “. Ray has also just released or is working on released choral versions of his hits, which sounds pretty good. He is also at Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight Festival
