South Korea and Taiwan also have professional baseball league as well. Some Major League players played at Korean league before. I heard that China also has professional baseball league but I am not sure.

u forget there are 2 prof. baseball leagues in the world, mlb and the one in japan, alot of americans play their too and alot of good japanese players dont want to leave home to play in usa even if its a better league or better pay, the mlb is hosted by 29 american cities obviously more americans would play in it

No team in WBC puts their best possible team, definitely including USA and South Korea. Many American major league stars did not participate because of possible injuries. USA has 20 times more registered baseball players than Japan has and USA has only 3 times more population than Japan has. If you compare many other factors, it is really hard to say Japan is the best team.

Korea should have definitely won this game. They Just played stupid and should have walked Ichiro whose batting average in the game was extremely high. I think he only didnt get on base once or twice. But yea that was one of the many small mistakes that killed korea in the end. cant wait till 2012 WBC
