Oct 1997 Mark Davis reports on the devastating famine in North Korea of 1997, confirming the extent of the food crisis, and that international aid did not get through to the people who need it most. He captures a rare insight into the negotiations between CARE and the government Relief Committee, who complain CARE is not helping enough. The obsessively secretive government wants to direct all aid to the fertile rice bowl areas around the capital, because productivity here is highest. Then …

I am so angry at their government. Only the local officials try to use their influence to get aid to their starving people. The rich feds block it to save face. Dispicable.

this is so sad and frustrating.
Amazing work by the humanitarian organization, trying to get to the people.

Currupt Or Not Those People Need Help,Just Like The Millions of Americans Suffering The Same, By Those same socalled Corrupted Goverments, The Problem would be solved by getting of the money and banking system instagating these corruptions, man can learned to do the right & Moral duties without money being their Corrupting Motivator

    7. PRUNELLA

While this may sound monsterous, the only way to fix this problem is to cut off all aid, and all resources coming from China. Sending resources simply supports the corrupt government :(

I did not know that 99% of aid agency workers are paid spies. Where and how did you get that number?
And what resources are who taking from North Korea?

    9. Caellum

Did you know that 99% of aid agency workers directly or indirectly are paid spies? They have to report everything to their (highly corrupted) western government which is helping the blood thirsty corporate devour the resources of the poor.

They are just very few NGO whom humbling serves the needy, the rest are all engaged in fulfilling devious government agenda.

The fact that you can say what you want, here on this website, shows that you are wrong.
Sponsoring and controlling are not the same. This site is owned by one of the biggest companies in the world. Yet look at all the things I can say:
      Obama is a terrorist!
Hitler is the best thing since puppies.
Kim Jong Il is too cute for words.
The United States deserve to be destroyed.
See? I can say all the stupid things I want.
Now try doing that in North Korea.
