You, sir, are a genius at interpretting the fine arts.

This clip has A1=445Hz pitch. At that time this film was recorded A1 was 440Hz I suppose.

Richter was russian. Pitch in Finland in general is A1=442Hz. I suppose it varies in some parts of Europe.

lets just all agree the only person who can play this with 100% accuracy ever was chopin everyone elses interpretation will be different but on the same along the sames it all depends on the generation you live in and how adapt you are to chopin pieces

i agree with you! i, too, worship this great pianist, but not in this music.
there is a very young pianist, hugo kitano, on youtube. i like his version much better…..

The speed is fucking impressive, however i feel it lacks something that for eg valentina lisitsa has.
Still, everybody has a style and a preference. Funny to think that the same piece can be played so differently.

Absolute unquestionable genius :) makes me smile every time.

keep in mind…chopin composed this piece after the insurrection in his homeland was crushed by the russians. He was extremely agitated after the news of the defeated insurrection came to him.
