Douglas Adams was the best-selling British author and satirist who created The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. In this talk at UCSB recorded shortly before his death, Adams shares hilarious accounts of some of the apparently absurd lifestyles of the world’s creatures, and gleans from them extraordinary perceptions about the future of humanity. I really enjoy listening to this guy speak, and his reading his books. going to the Lib later to pick up some of his literature.

Adams was a great author. He was the author of a lot of Dr Who episodes as well as HHGTTG.
And while I hate remakes, and especially hate Steven Fry for being a pretentious twat, I love this kakapo remix (for Rachel Maddow cracking up). watch?v=dQfNZWEwN0I - whap, whap, whap…
